IPL 5: Tendulkar tweets injured finger photo

Visakhapatnam: Sachin Tendulkar’s participation in Mumbai Indians’ upcoming IPL 5 matches looks in doubt after the Indian batsman posted a photo on Twitter of the injured middle finger of his right hand.
Tendulkar took a blow on the hand during Mumbai’s tournament opener against defending champions Chennai Super Kings on April 4, forcing him to retire hurt and ruling him out of the team’s second match against Pune Warriors India over the weekend. “Finger still not looking good. Had to aspirate blood from my finger twice in 4 days,” tweeted Tendulkar on Monday. The photo posted on his Twitter page shows Tendulkar’s swelled and blood-clotted right middle finger, with a rubber band tied halfway up.

After comprehensively winning their first game in Chennai, the Harbhajan Singh-led side went down to Pune in their second game of the tournament. Mumbai next play Deccan Chargers in Visakhapatnam on April 9 and then Rajasthan Royals at home on Wednesday. Based on how bad the finger looks in the photo, it is almost certain that Tendulkar will not play these matches.
